Philosophy
Our philosophy
Responsibility, sustainability, development
These 3 words most characterize the approach of our young wine company to viticulture and to the region, which we understand as a source of inspiration and potential.
The wine-growing region Hlohovec - Šintava (PONDUS) excels in several specifics that have shaped it for the last 100 years. Except for the soil-climatic character, which we cannot decisively influence, several vital events shaped the viticultural and wine-growing "life".
The development of viticulture in the interwar period, the quality and name of Hlohovec wines and the rise of winemakers such as Ferdinand Fussman, made our area significantly visible beyond the borders of our state.
On the other hand - the post-war arrangement and integration of vineyards from this area under the Pezinok wineries marked the perception of the traditional wine-growing region very negatively - it was almost forgotten that there are 15 villages around Hlohovec with a total area of approximately 1000 ha (data from 2016, source UKSUP). At the same time, this large area administratively belongs to the Malokarpatska wine region - but we do not form a full part of it. It is surprising how inattentive it is to approach a region where almost 12% of the area of production vineyards in the Slovak Republic is managed and from which the best wines from winemakers of more or less renowned names are produced.
In 2017, we established the tradition of the event “Welcoming summer in the vineyard", which probably best describes our interest and the path of development of viticulture in connection with the promotion of the area.
The event takes place directly in the vineyards of Bojničky and its goal is to introduce visitors the environment, products of BAYNACH winery and other regional winemakers as well as other food producers and also offers music, dance and interesting children's activities. The fact that this path is the right one is also proved by the number of satisfied visitors of this event and their positive feedback.
